번역 소설에서의 중국어 재귀사 ‘自己’의 한국어 대응 양상 연구
본고는 한국어 재귀사 교육 및 학습의 참고 자료로 활용될 수 있도록 중국어 재귀사 ‘自己’와 대응하는 한국어 대응 양상을 고찰하고자 한다. 이를 위해 중국어로 출판된 소설 3권과 이를 한국어로 번역한 소설 3권을 대상으로 분석하고 살펴보았다. 결과적으로 중국어 ‘自己’와 한국어의 대응 양상은 ‘自己’와 한국어 재귀사 대응 양상, ‘自己’와 한국어 인칭대명사 대응 양상, ‘自己’와 한국어 부사 대응 양상, ‘自己’와 한국어의 생략 양상, 총 4가지 양상으로 나눌 수 있다. 첫째, ‘自己’와 한국어 재귀사 대응 양상을 살펴봄으로써 인칭제약과 복수 사용의 영향으로 중ㆍ한 재귀사 대응이 다르다는 것을 알 수 있다. 둘째, ‘自己’와 한국어의 인칭대명사 대응 양상에서 중국어 단순 재귀사 ‘自己’와 복합 재귀사 ‘N+自己’는 한국어 1, 2, 3인칭대명사와 모두 대응할 수 있다는 것을 알 수 있다. 셋째, ‘自己’와 한국어 부사 대응 양상에서는 ‘自己’가 ‘혼자’, ‘직접’, ‘스스로’, ‘알아서’ 등과 대응하는 양상을 보였다. 넷째, ‘自己’와 한국어의 생략 양상이 상당히 큰 비중을 차지하고 있는 것으로 보인다.
A Study on the Korean Use of the Chinese reflexive ‘自己’ in Translation Novels
The purpose of this paper is to examine the patterns of Korean equivalents that correspond with the Chinese reflexive pronoun ‘自己’ to make it a reference material for Korean reflexive pronoun education and learning. To achieve this goal, we analyzed and investigated three novels published in Chinese and three novels translated into Korean. As a result, the patterns of correspondence between Chinese ‘自己’ and Korean can be classified into four categories: the use of ‘自己’ and Korean reflexive pronouns, use of ‘自己’ and Korean personal pronouns, use of ‘自己’ and other Korean adverbs, and pattern of ‘自己’ omission in Korean. First, by examining the correspondence between ‘自己’ and Korean reflexive pronouns, we can observe that the differences in personal constraints and use of plurals influence the correspondence between Chinese and Korean reflexive pronouns. Second, in the correspondence between ‘自己’ and Korean personal pronouns, it is evident that the simple reflexive ‘自己’ and compound reflexive ‘N+自己’ can both correspond to Korean 1st, 2nd, and 3rd person pronouns. Third, in the correspondence between ‘自己’ and Korean adverbs, ‘自己’ is shown to correspond with terms like ‘혼자’, ‘직접’, ‘스스로’, and ‘알아서’. Fourth, it appears that the omission pattern of ‘自己’ in Korean constitutes a significant portion of the analysis.
